So, there are two main aspects to search engine optimisation.
The
first aspect is what we call on-page optimisation. This is the reconfiguration of your web pages, images and the coding within the invisible aspects of your web site. It is often possible to take your web site, optimise it for Google and have little or no impact on the visual aspect of your web page. This is because we will skillfully optimise much of the coding within your web site pages to make more efficient references to the key phrases that people type into Google search boxes. Your web pages will then appear more relevant to Google when a visitor searches for a key phrase associated with your business. So, if you've just spent a small fortune on a web site that looks great but is not working for you, then all is not lost!
The
second main aspect is called off-site optimisation. This is nothing to do with your own web site as such. Instead, this is where we promote your web site by mentioning it in numerous other web sites. We place links to your web site on other people's web pages which makes Google consider your web page to be more important. In theory, you might say that the more links you have pointing towards your web page, the higher your rankings will become. In practice, it's a little more complicated than this as Google's algorythms are extremley complex. Establishing one high quality link could bring you more benefit than 100 low quality links. |
