When data loss occurs, the disruption can be far-reaching and extremely stressful. At Your Computer Department we understand this and, although we're used to helping people in this situation, we never forget that this is a difficult time and treat each case with great care.

You may not be able to see your data, be we can often recover it - even on a physically failing hard disk. However time is not on our side and we try to avoid using couriers wherever possible. We prefer to collect your damaged media from you if you're based in or around Nottingham or Derby. This way, we can be as careful as possible with your media device and retain as much chance of successful data recovery as possible.

We recover deleted data from re-formatted or erased hard drives. We can often recover data from physically damaged or failed hard disks including IDE disks, SATA drives & SCSI server hard disks.

We can recover data from laptop PCs, desktop PCs and server media but that's not all we do. Often data isn't deleted and hard disks haven't actually failed. In contrast, data recovery can be just as important when database files become corrupt. We often see failed or corrupt Outlook PST files and Exchange OST files. These prevent Microsoft Outlook from operating and result in the user not being able to access emails.
